Social Media & Content Intern

  • Valois Studios is looking for a creative, social-first Social Media & Content Intern to join our growing creative team.

    This is a paid, project-based opportunity not a traditional part-time or full-time position with set weekly hours. Interns will be brought onto projects based on upcoming shoots, client needs, availability, and experience, and will be paid on a project-by-project basis.

    Valois Studios is a Connecticut-based creative studio and production company specializing in social media content, photography, video production, events, and branded storytelling.

    Our work includes creating original content around the Valois Studios physical space and brand, as well as producing social-first content for clients, creators, businesses, events, and entertainment projects.

    Our experience includes creating content around Fanatics Fest, Yes Chef Food Festival, influencers and creators, entertainment productions, local businesses, and more.

    What You'll Do

    Depending on the project, you may:

    • Brainstorm and develop TikTok, Instagram Reel, and short-form content concepts

    • Create original social content for the Valois Studios brand and physical studio space

    • Help build social content for Valois Studios clients

    • Capture behind-the-scenes content during shoots and productions

    • Film photo and video content at events, businesses, and client locations

    • Edit short-form videos optimized for social media

    • Identify trends, sounds, hooks, and emerging content formats

    • Help develop content calendars and campaign ideas

    • Turn larger photo/video productions into social-first content

    • Work directly alongside photographers, videographers, creators, businesses, and clients

    Who We're Looking For

    We're looking for someone who is:

    • Creative and constantly thinking of new content ideas

    • Familiar with TikTok, Instagram, and current social trends

    • Comfortable shooting content on a phone and/or camera

    • Interested in editing and short-form storytelling

    • Reliable, communicative, and professional when working with clients

    • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

    • Interested in building a stronger portfolio and gaining real-world client experience

    • Based in or able to travel throughout Connecticut, with occasional opportunities in NYC

    Professional experience is not required. We're interested in finding someone with strong creative instincts, an understanding of social media, and a willingness to learn.

    Compensation & Schedule

    This is a paid, project-by-project opportunity.

    There are no guaranteed weekly hours or fixed part-time/full-time schedule. Opportunities will be offered based on upcoming Valois Studios and client projects, and compensation will be communicated for each project.

    Some projects may involve creating content at Valois Studios, while others may include client shoots, events, productions, or on-location content creation.

    The goal is to give you opportunities to build your portfolio, gain hands-on experience, work on real client projects, and grow as a social content creator while contributing to the growth of Valois Studios.
